HOW DID WHITE PEOPLE EVOLVE?
Light features are about diet, not just UV light. When the Ice Age ended 10,000 years ago, Europeans adopted agriculture. Plant-based diets have significantly less vitamin D. This means those with dark features were at risk of dying of RICKETS, since there is less UV light at high-latitudes. Rickets affects children because their bones are still growing (vitamin D helps absorb calcium), so the darkest-skinned people were less likely to reach reproductive age.
Meanwhile, those with lighter skin obtained vitamin D from the sun rather than their diets. And traits are INTER-LINKED. Light skin from an agrarian diet is more likely to be accompanied by light eyes and light hair.
We could know this from the Soviet silver fox experiments. Geneticist Dmitri Belyaev took hundreds of silver foxes and bred them for tameness over decades. He selected for tameness and tameness only. And within 10 generations, he had domesticated them, yet many other traits also changed. Their skulls became rounder, their ears became floppy, and most importantly, their fur had changed color.
So blonde hair and eyes are interlinked with light skin, which is enabled by rickets killing off darker skinned people before they can reach reproductive age. This distinction is important due to the myth that blonde hair and blue eyes allowed for an increase in vitamin D intake. Hair would have nothing to do with it, since hair is dead and made from the same material that your fingernails are made out of, keratin. Also, your iris is extremely precious and sensitive real-estate. Your body will not synthesize vitamin-D in your iris of all places!
