I liked the hobbies I had to choose from in the 2000s more than the ones I have to choose from now.
They were a bit meh but I enjoyed them. Definitely not even closely as iconic as the 80s or 90s, and I'd argue even the 2010s were more unique.
Overall though remember video games being good, politlcal correct bullshit was taught but no one really cared about it, fashion was pretty simple. Also trends like emos, grebs, etc still existed. Internet way was better and freer, now it just feels (and is) google-centric.

Yes it was infinitely better, I feel more of a connection to 50+ year olds due to the drastic cultural shift of social media and smartphones despite still being considered part of Generation Z according to some people. The 2000s were a trillion times better to now.

The golden era of the internet was the 90s tbh, where you could call somebody a niggerfaggot and nobody would bat an eye.
