yes lot's of excel data compiling. I essentially get massive data sets that need to be organized and rendered "useful" for reports and shit.

i mean its cool to be good at something and to work in good company with cool colleagues.

but i dont think id like to do it, we graduated same speciality.

I have a master's degree, though not related to what I do for money. It does allow me side gigs as an instructor every so often.

I do consulting for money, on a variety of IT-related subjects. Used to be databases mostly, now it's the fucking cloud (which I hate, but people love). Pays well and I move around a lot, so no chance of rotting in one place for years only to get kicked out a month before you are vested b/c the company needs to save money LOL. Also since people hire me when they need actual problems solved, they look at me as a hero when i show up... Whereas in reality most shit I do anyone could do, but they are too fucking dumb to learn to push a few buttons.

I'm 30. I have had quite a few jobs. I worked on building sites as a labourer. I did painting. I worked in a call centre for a while. Got sacked from there for loosing my shit. I worked as a groundsman on an industrial estate for a while. Now I work as a multiskilled maintenance tech in a factory. I do night's. I got this job because my uncle knew the manager. I have no formal technical training but I had a lot of experience working for my dad and my uncle when I was younger. I have to do night shift or holidays because the skilled trades get the best shifts. I'm on nights because they Can't get anyone better.

This job is pretty nice. I like the people I work with. I liked the last job I had for the most part.

The key is with wage slaving is there are jobs where you can do a fair days work for how little they actually pay you. Shift work is definitely good for that. Especially nights and weekends because the bosses aren't there to watch you.

highschool i just worked retail, for 2 years at tim hortons, and last 2 years at a best buy. never spent a dollar on anything i didn't need (no gf = no wasted money).

my university has a system where you have 6 mandatory work terms (co-op) in total (although i'm going to do last 2 on my own.)

these work terms are pretty much internships, the university will recommend you workplaces these are decided by your gpa, companies will then decide whether or not they want to hire you depending on your side projects and stuff.
