Can’t grow a full one (mid 20s) but it was somewhere in my early twenties that I finally could grow one minus the cheeks (not a shitty neckbeard).

If you can't grow a beard by age 18 then you likely never will. If it is any consolation, my face got a lot more masculine (stronger jawline) around age 22 or so. Dunno if that was natural or just a result of rough living during my deployment to Afghanistan.

I think what he means is that because it varies so much, the "average age" is sort of meaningless. Then again it's dr-problematic you're replying to and I could easily see him believing something as stupid as age not mattering at all.

But when it comes to facial hair growth, one factor that matters far more than age is ethnicity. The average Arab, Indian, Jewish, Armenian or southern Italian male has far more facial hair at age 14 than a Japanese or Korean man will ever have at any point in his life.

if u want a beard use minoxidil

While minoxidil will make your beard grow thicker, this is a horrible idea. Minoxidil ages your skin. That's why I've always been really careful to only get it on my scalp and to wash my face and clean it with a salicylic acid pad after applying it. Even then, it definitely aged my forehead area.

Use it on your face and you'll look like a middle aged man before you're 30.
