Sure, in Middle school and High school you're quite awkard, but other kids are generally awkard as well as everyone is in the process of maturing. Some leeway is there. But then when you get to college and people are more socially attund and matured, shit really gets difficult. You will expereince ostriziation for being even slightly awkard. If you make ONE faux pas you can instnatly lose face and never be able to recover it. People will judge you simply for being shy and introverted. They will call you creepy for it. After college, autism is simply a death sentence in life. In job interviews, you have to put on a NT "performance" with "confidence". If you appear even slightly introverted, shy, or awkard you won't get hired. And even when you are hired, you constnatly have to put on an NT mask to avoid losing your job or being ostricized.

Being autistic is so exhausting.

yep life as aspie is basically just pretending to be normal and faking your mental stability, but on the inside the anxiety and panic is destroying you. Your true self is awkward, pathetic, scared, weak. Also aspies process stuff more visually so we are constantly being bombarded by sensory inputs that puts us in a disassociated state from the overwhelming amount of stimulation.

No mercy for us autismos, that's for sure. Ugly, robotic, completely oblivious to social interactions. One of God's many sick jokes.

It becomes increasingly difficult to hide your autism as you get older. Because the gap between you and what a NT is/does just gets wider and wider, it becomes more obvious you ain't no normie when you never bring a date to company gatherings, you never do normie things like go on vacations, or weekend trips, you don't own a car or a house, or a pet. Eventually all your coworkers know whats up, and start ignoring you, and complaining about you to HR, and you get canned for non-reasons like culture fit. And then you have to look for a new job and start a new NT mask gag all over again.
