Most people have such a low IQ that they can't distinguish between. NS is focused on the idea of the “people’s community”(Volksgemeinschaft) and race thinking, while Fascism is focused more on the power of the state. Fascism aims for a capitalist economy, which is different from NS. There are also big differences when it came to the treatment of Jews. For example back then Italian Fascism did not have race laws until 1938 and Jews could hold high positions in the fascist movement. There were some similarities in political style, like uniforms, big parades and a leader cult. The idea that Fascism and NS were the same came mostly from bolshewiks and left-wing idiots. But the reality is, NS aren't a fan of fascism. Leftists call NS "Fascism' to make sure the word “Socialism,” which they used for themselves, wasn't connected to NS. Fascism was a broad and mixed movement, with different forms in many countries. From Finnish farmers groups to Peronism in Argentina. NS however had a very clear worldview focused on race and the people’s community.

Italian Fascism and German National Socialism are two different ideologies, but they are both third-position ideologies with similar origins and characteristics. Both Fascism and National Socialism were created by nationalist WW1 veterans, radicalized by their experiences and enraged by bourgeois-liberal cowardice and communist subversion, who therefore adopted a militant stance to save their nations. Hitler had great respect for Mussolini and considered him one of his main inspirations (it’s no coincidence that the Beer Hall Putsch took place a year after the March on Rome). Fascism uses a corporatist economy very similar to the NS system, and share many of the same values, in relation to their home countries of course. Racialism was not a big issue among Italian Fascists, as the issue of race was never really prevalent among Italian nationalists to begin with. The same cannot be said for NS, which had its roots in the Völkisch movement, which had already had an influence on German nationalist discourse decades before the rise of Hitler. Broadly speaking, the two ideologies were more or less on the same page and had the same overarching enemies (liberalism and communism). They had their obvious differences, as Germany and Italy are different nations with different cultures and national spirits, but that in no way means that Italian fascism and German NS should be opposed to each other.

Right. I learned to distinguish one from the other early in my awakening. National socialism is more racialist in origin, while fascism is mostly concerned about the State. The Jewish Question was crucial to Germans; not so much to Italians. In fact, Jews who renounced dual citizenship and foreign loyalty could live as Italian citizens. Some even held positions of power. Eugenics played a huge role in national socialist Germany, unlike in fascist Italy.

And if you think about it, ethnic nationalism and civic nationalism today are representative of national socialism and fascism, respectively.

We all gotta start somewhere and I can't think of a better place than blood and soil with a Satanist profile picture

Mussolini had a Jewish mistress btw.

The idea that nazis were fascists came from the soviets who was also invaded by the Italians (part of axis), it's a generic term to refer to axis without being specific

German National Socialism was German ethno-nationalism mixed with German empire expansionism while Italian fascism was Italian civic nationalism mixed with re-building the Roman empire.
