For example computer games

15 years ago models, maps haven't have to be so detailed as nowadays. So it was easier to find a job. Nowadays having skills the same as junior worker in 2005 is rather not enough. Stupid fuckin shit. Easier to find knowledge = more competitivity and more skills required which is stupid since not everybody have genetics for it or will power for fuck sake. And that goes for various branches of jobs

I think this the SEAmaxxx/geomaxxx argument crystalized
throughout history, when shit gets too competitive, people move further away from the competition

I am like that. I am trying to improve for fun (so not entirely competetively) in my branch but still I am getting lazier and lazier sometimes since I can't get anywhere even though I try

Since I try to learn coding I spoke to one guy who is a programmer and he told me that shit that is needed to just be considered nowdays for junior he was learning after few years at work while earning shit ton of money.
Another example: few years ago I saw youtuber who said that in 90s he knew some HTML and CSS and he was earning 20 thousands per month for making sites. Literally easy peasy money. Now making sites in HTML and CSS is not even cosidered as knowledge.

And it is as always mankinds nonsense. It's just like with foids nowadays. You got be much better than 70 years ago for same ol hoe

you need to be deranged or gifted enough to succeed in at least one competition

Yep. Trying to find my first cooder job out of university and every company expects you to already have the skills of a software engineer with 3 years experience. I honestly mog the average software cuck from even just 15 years ago in terms of skills. All you needed was some css, html and know what a hashmap is jfl

Same or even worse hoe, since 70 years ago expecting girl to be virgin was very normal thing now its being entitled to expect that.

Really everything is competetive as fuck nowdays. People have no chill.

I remember in the 90s in my post-Soviet country just knowing foreign language like English would likely land you a job and social prestige. Now almost everyone amongst youth knows English and you need a good profession. Knowing foreign language is nothing special now while some time ago its was an achievement.
I don't know how someone can like to live in so competitive world.

And world gets more complicated every day, dont forget that..

:yes::yes::yes::yes: I know english on C1/C2 and what? Nothing

The field is too saturated and has been for a good decade. Plus, you are competing with curry immigrant coders who are willing to work for less.

In the next decade, unless you go through a temp agency and start from the very bottom for a lot less for a year or two, the criteria to get hired through the door will be a shit load. Criteria meaning 3-5 years experience, 6 months - 1 year of internship (a must), good work reputation with female co-workers (a must), experience with working on projects within time limit etc.

I mean I am not in this field but nevertheless entire IT branches is saturated and fields beyond IT. More people, more easy to get knowledge in terms of its commonness and bam you got this bullshit pathetic situation of todays capitalism

Its called involution

f(f(x)) = x
Is that what you meant?
no it's a Chinese word. basically everyone are competitive, and thus no one is competitive but have to work more anyway for no extra rewards.

Im from Poland and there is a possibility to find a job at financial corporation with just English. Yes - you would be bottom line bee worker without any perspectives, but its possible to just get a job.
But if you know 2 foreign languages meaning english plus something like German/French/Swedish/Finnish you can land a job that pays 1,7 times minimum wage - either in IT support or in finance corporations.

Exactly. Just like with languages. If noone knew english you could simply know english to be paid nicely. Now since everyone know it you need to know at least 2 foreign languages to be paid somewhat acceptable.
In 10 years you will have to know 3 foreign languages or you will be unemployable. Its just downward spiral.

yeah but it is stupid (not what you written but how capitalism works) since it isn't possible for humans to fuckin know that much. There will be a fuckin limit

The amount of competition in the Software Engineering field is why I gave up on my dreams of being a coder. I would have to work my ass off and become charismatic with excellent social skills in order to compete with the Chad and Stacy coders to make the 100k-200k income range that a Software Engineering degree is supposed to guarantee. That's why I work minimum wage in some shitty restaurant instead.

Yeah its insane. I Have an engineering degree and havent Been able to Land a Job in 9 months
