There is NOTHING I havent seen or heard about and when you are at a state were you know the human brain, every perversion and fantasized about alien worlds or our - inevitable - Dystopian Cyberpunk like future, there is nothing that could shock you, make you emotionally bound to a certain person or object - and it might also be a cause of Short form content - which I unfortunately did consume, against my will, as youtube traps you in it or generally speaking I see the state of "Not Surprised" in the faces of all people I work with on a daily Basis.
My Boss could say "Worker XYZ come to my office" and if that person will get fired or promoted, that person is NOT surprised. That person knows, no matter what the Boss will say, its either irrelevant or very temporary.
If there is new Technology coming out, most people were already expecting it. The most they WILL be surprised with, is if that Tech is revolutionary and changes economics around the globe or revolutionizes entire sectors ... yet thats not the reason people are surprised. They are only surprised they will keep working for shit wages a 40+ hour week despite that this tech is now around.
Gen Z and Alpha people are just SO FUCKING brain fried and miserable, Aliens could invade the earth and nobody would be shocked! The Epstein Island pedophile list could include Taylor Swift, Biden, Trump and the entire Linkin Park Gang and NOBODY would be surprised.

If I sit in the theater its usually just WOMEN who get scared or surprised. For me its all bland as fuck. Ive seen thousands of movies. I seen it all. There is nothing interesting. Thats why I dont watch that many movies anymore.
Its also a problem I have with these shitty Dreamworks and Disney remake...WHY? Like why? So that we have it in live action now? The same fucking Story we already know? Who would legit pay money to see a movie again just in a different style?
I tell you that How to Train your Dragon live Action Remake will FAIL hard at the Box Office.
I think people arent necessarily getting dumber, its just they get less emotional, less interested and thus demotivated. And when you experienced so much, when you learned so much, the next fucking misery or "Shock Value" becomes just a regular occurance.
