We all know that normies will often refute cold hard dating and attraction statistics with the classic, "but i know a guy that ...". This often brings much frsustrastion to blackpillers bacause it seems that normies are unable to understand that we are talking about general trends.

While some normies do indeed not understand stats, most do, so why the misunderstanding between blackpillers and bluepillers? The real answer is that normies do not see the utility in stats. To the initiated, statistics are important because it tells us what is most likely to happen in our own lives. I could play the lottery from now till the day i die and will probably never win anything. To a blackpiller, the knowledge that the likelihood is so low is enough to give up, or atleast try and hedge my bets, but to a bluepiller, nothing is enough to give up hope.

The cornerstone of the normie philosophy is hope. Hope that anything is possible. Hope that if i just try hard enough, I can become a pro basketball player, or an astronaught, or if i keep searching I can find the perfect girl that fits every requirement. So the normie will keep playing the lottery, even if yous how them the cold hard facts, they will not give up hope, and will propbably not even attempt to make any changes to try and hedge their bets a little.

In the end, normies are simply gambling addicts. Addicted to fantasies and dreams and unable to accept the reality that even though there may be a chance, its ultimately hopeless. This is where you get sub-5s approaching hundreds of girls, or bluepillers getting friendzoned over and over.

Stats are all well and good, but they mean nothing to someone that just wants to play the slots, or to the casino (foids).

No shit, it is in our nature to want to reproduce and when others make it seem impossible they cope and do everything they can to get one to believe reproduction is likely to happen. Reproduction is the driving force behind everything we do in life such as work, want to look better, get stronger etc and when that seems out of reach it is almost like our existence and sole purpose has been taken away from us, so no shit people will want to gamble when it comes to reproduction. We also have an inherent desire to lift other people up, if one stops trying to find a mate then they never will, so when normies tell a trucel who is saying it's over for him he just needs to try a bit harder and get a new haircut etc, it's in our nature to reassure others so they will have a better chance of reproduction. Everything and I mean everything is motivated by the desire to reproduce.
