I just don't get it. To them what's new must always automatically be good. Whenever I talk about enjoying anything that's old they respond in the most condescending tone.

For example
When I talk to normies about gaming I tell them what I play and what I play it on. They ask me why I don't buy a new console. I tell them no new games interest me so I have no reason to waste my money. They either go silent or accuse me of being negative

Meanwhile when I suggest they play an older game they scoff and act like I'm a retard. Then the same idiots will buy a remastered version or remake of the game even if it's clearly worse than the original

It's like they just enjoy the act of buying new product and nothing more
