I wouldn't say that having an ego is bad, as a sense of self/character is necessary, though normscum do in fact lack any rationality of things and do in fact hop on to anything but it isn't for their ego but instead to masquerade their character as being better than others for simply doing more things but then bring others down for doing the same thing. Though you could say that doing such a thing is a way of their character, but then that would mean they are purposefully and in the known for doing what they are doing unlike most normscum (a psycho would usually possess this)
