Theory Normies don’t actually have interests.

Normies might seem like they do things for entertainment and have hobbies but when you actually look deeper into how normies operate you can see that non of them engage in these hobbies for actual entertainment and enjoyment or actually even care about the hobbies they partake in at all.

The evidence that I will be providing is mostly anecdotal so take that as you will

Everything is transactional for normies.

Nothing normies do they truly enjoy (besides sex maybe but that’s outside the scope of this thread) I will tell a story about an old friend of mine who engaged with some of my hobbies during my senior year of high school. I don’t engage in anything depraved or degenerate either. My preferred hobby is playing strategy and rpg games both in the tabletop sense with games like warhammer the old world or any OSR rpg and on PC. I eventually tried to get my normie friends involved so I would have someone to play. It went alright and It looked as if they were actually interested in playing and had a good time. This illusion as I would come to find out was shattered by two things. First I had noticed that towards the end the of high school one of my friends started drifting away and just all in all distancing himself from me. Apparently he had only wanted to engage in the hobbies since he thought it would give him a unique personality and once he realized that it didn’t, he only played in order to please me and use my moterbike and ATV. Otherwise though he viewed me as a fucking freak. The other realization came from another person sharing some very insightful information about his direct messages with the other friend and apparently they would talk behind my back making iMessage stickers out of my face from creep shots they took.

TLDR: these normgroid rats Used me and led me on in order to ride my atv’s. They didn’t even actually care about my hobbies or interests and brutally made fun of me behind my back.

A note to brocels. It’s better to engage with the lowest beings in society than normies or just isolate yourself.

Observationally, I agree with you 100%. I don't they are invested into anything long term. When the topic at hand looses its cultural value somehow, either because the culture moved on, or because their lifes changed, they just drop it.
Examples:

- game of thrones. Massive international phenomenon for years. After it died, nobody gave a fuck anymore. It is gone.
- all kinds of "massive news events" like SARS, COVID, bird-flu, swine-flu, fukushima nuclear plant shit, earthquake in haiti whatever - many of these places are still suffering from these events but people simply stopped caring once the novelty wore off

Even on this forum, most accounts you interact with are 3-4 months old at most. The amount of people that stay here for years is vanishingly low. It says we have 26,915 members with around 200 active online on average. That means out of 26000 registered Users, less than 1% are active at any time.

I think normies have an instrumental view of media and culture. They look at things through the lens of how it serves them in the moment, like things are instruments to help them get along in life. But once an instrument becomes obsolete, they drop it.

LOL yeah. The number of edgy teenagers with "Foid Destroyer" as their username and a billion posts which are less than a sentence is high. They will get a girlfriend in their mid twenties and their time here is just a phase of angst. Happened a billion times over, will happen billions of more times.

If you watch ITV on YouTube, every one of his videos gets the same comments, lol. I feel like it's the blackpilled normies leaving those, because they are surprisingly lacking any insight. The blackpilled normies are only here repeating our words for the moment because it makes them feel better; there's no thought behind it.

Very true. I'm not going to get into this too much but I look at these soyience enjoyers who always argue that your mind simply runs on logic gates and your brain is some super massively advanced computer and that the soul is not real. I don't personally hold this belief but if you ever needed an example of a soulless machine it's normies. I truly think that the gnostics were on to something when they claimed that the majority of people were hylic's with no spiritual side.
