A few decades ago you got a job and nothing more, you did it for decades, once you got it you were safe. Nowadays everything changes at a rapid pace. Each month you have to visit new schoolings, every new year the knowledge of the previous years gets seen as too old. It takes all the running you can do just to keep you in the same place nowadays. Back then you got easy jobs without intensive vocational training or studying beforehand - nowadays your degree becomes worthless after a few years. You have to reorientate yourself almost every few months (a few decades ago you could lean back after a college degree, nowadays you are in college for life). You always have to learn new things. You are never done and you can never say that the job is truly finished. There are no definite end goals.

It disgusts me that everywhere people say that people must like something challenging. "How could you want a GF/a job that doesn't challenge you?" - jfl, this pathological mindset, self-impro(o)vement/working is for them not just mere means to an end, but rather a sisyphean task that you should do for eternity without resting (just to get less than the people who never had to self-improve to such sickening degrees a few years ago). Everywhere they want you to take the extra mile - in jobs, in studies, in relationships, in sport, etc. Everywhere. You are constantly shamed if you don't give 100% constantly in everything you do.

"Mediocre" has even become an insult for men, which shows you everything you need to know. The lowest female specimens get praise while the average man is the laughing stock of the nation - and this is what they openly say about average men, just think about what they think about below average males (everything said/done by whores/soys that could never even dream off being average due to being the absolute detritus).
