I am in Japan for an entire month for my holiday and I am spending a big chunk of that in Shinjuku, specfiically around Kabukicho.

During the day it's great, nice city with a lot of stuff. But even during the day, I get approached by scammers asking me to see some titties. At night, it gets even worse because I get approached exponentially more, one time even stalked until I called out the stalker. Yesterday, some black dude tried sneaking up on me and he was very close and I wonder what he would have done if I didn't notice him. I am pretty sure he wanted to drug me or some shit.

I've walked through half of Osaka and Kyoto at night, never felt unsafe in the slightest, walks there at midnight were rather peaceful. Sjinjuku, I cannot go outside for 5 minutes without being asked to see some titties, or worst case stalked by a nigger thug. I don't regret staying though because I've now seen how messed up it is, and it's quite an experience to be asked to go to a titty bar every street you go into.
