In horror movies these days there’s almost always some type of agenda whether it be lgbtq or gender politics. This type of shit destroys horror movies. The new Halloween movies, garbage. A grown ass giant man-monster demon thing who’s able to murder any type of man is going to lose to some old woman who thinks she’s Wonder Woman. No part of the new Halloween was even scary or subtle, it shouldn’t even be called a horror movie it’s just shit.
Another example of a shitty horror movie adaptation, CANDY MAN. A monster in the hood that kills kids, babies, every damn thing, a pretty damn good monster overall. The adaptation though, we get a socially-aware and politically correct version of the old Candy man who only kills when it’s “right”, this new Candy man is nowhere near as ruthless as the first one (-10 points because he doesn’t have wings either.)
None of these horror movies are appealing when you make it so a group of people are basically untouchable, especially in the case of Halloween when Michael Meyers is fighting a fuckin 95 year old grandma, not even the least bit realistic
Also there is generally nothing interesting about female leads in horror movies these days since all of them just act like a cheap replacement for a man with little to no backstory.
If by some luck any movie makers or acclaimed critics are reading this, please stop making these awful horror movies. And stop throwing men under the bus at every opportunity.
