DISCLAIMER (For the lurkers): This post is not meant to trivialize or encourage the practice of child abuse, or child trafficking in any of the forms it takes. The goal is to take a candid look at male opinion. I tend to choose my words carefully so I would appreciate if you wouldn't twist them.
Quick Summary
A movie called Cuties has released on Netflix which includes non-nude imagery of tween (age 10-13) girls dancing erotically and generally acting sexual. Men are claiming outrage and disgust but their behavior behind closed doors (porn viewership) implies that a large majority of men enjoy this content. It is social unacceptable to even imply that any women under eighteen is attractive, hence they virtue signal for points, but undoubtedly many men can and do find younger girls attractive.
Background
The movie Cuties (French: Mignonnes) has spawned a sea of virtue signaling men and foids alike all over the country who claim it is a child softcore porn film masquerading as a cerebral drama. They are mad, morally superior, and they want you to know it. Now the question of whether or not the movie IS that is a seperate one. For the record, I've seen it and don't believe it is. I think the writers and director included the sexual imagery to make a hard point (no pun intended) and it worked. Mission accomplished. What I actually want to talk about is the outrage, specifically coming from men. These men want you to believe that they (and most men) are absolutely disgusted by any imagery which serializes children, young adults, and even teenagers. I want to take a closer look at that.

Cuties: An Uncomfortably Honest Review
The review linked above will serve as the strongest point for why so many men publicly claim to find all forms of underage fetishization deplorable, yet privately enjoy it. In the first few minutes of the review the reviewer is honest, and says the movie was arousing due to its erotic content, and that is all it takes to earn him a landslide of vitrol and dismissal. He didn't say he wanted to go out and fuck some kids. He was just honest. A pretty 11 year old girl twerking was arousing for him, and now he has committed social seppuku. These kinds of events serve as a flag to any other men out there watching: If you liked what you saw, pretend that you didn't. If you come across a man who is brave enough to admit he got turned on, let him know he is the lowest scum on earth and is hereby exiled. Below are some of my favorite comments:
There is no nuance here. If you found anything about the movie arousing, you are a child predator and need to be brought to justice. It is an unforgivable thought crime and you deserve to be arrested.
Attraction = Molestation
The second to last youtube comment from the image shown in the previous section highlights my next point. According to Wikipedia, which took its definition from a Criminology paper: Pedophilia (alternatively spelt paedophilia) is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children. Primary or exclusive are important here. Watching a movie that is literally about the sexualization of young girls and that goes out of its way to arouse you, and then getting aroused, does not make you a pedophile. If it wasn't bad enough that you are now labeled a pedophile, you are also basically a child molester. Many people conflate the act of being aroused by a movie like this with being an actual convicted abuser. The word pedophile is used to describe both cases interchangeably. This is also the reason why many men who have actual sexual urges towards children don't seek help, even when they want to and have no interest in acting on those urges. Just admitting the thought is enough to be labeled as an offender.
A Little Porn
So we have established that admitting to being attracted to a young girl, even if you are presented with imagery like this movie, is a signal that you are a monster. So how do we explain how popular porn involving teenage looking pornstars is? A study done by PornHub, where they reviewed usage statistics of 2019, adds a lot of color to this discussion.
market for woman who look like teenage girls, because men like looking at them.
What does it all mean?
No one wants to be ostracized. Our aversion towards being perceived as different, weird, disgusting, etc., goes back to our tribal origins and the relationship between social belonging and survival. If nothing else, two things are clear: 1) It is not safe to at all admit attraction to young girls, even in circumstances where it is purposefully elicited, because it automatically makes you a pedophile and criminal. 2) When it IS safe, millions of men (and probably women to some extent), enjoy viewing pornography which depicts young women as teens. The same points I made regarding porn could be made about Instragram and TikTok, which are rife with little models. I would put forth that the crime isn't sexualizing youth and innocence, its sexualizing it publicly via mass media.

The searched term is Japanese. If you have ever used a porn site before, I don't need to tell you what kind of porn is typically associated with that search query. The most popular amateur model, LittleReislin, makes it a point to accentuate how small and innocent she is, and often titles her videos with the same implication. Put the study aside and just look at the most popular videos on ANY porn site. Millions of people (mostly men according to usage statistics you will find all over the web) make videos depicting petite women posing as "the younger stepsister" or even flat out "little sister" popular. Where is the outrage? How is that behavior not pedophillic? Pornstars like Little Kitty, Amai Lui, Little Lupe, and Little Caprice (notice a pattern with the names), all came into the industry making bank for a reason. There is a large What does it all mean?
