Just saw the trailer of new gears of war reloaded jewmaster which is coming in august to pc. I have always wanted to play gears but for some reason i always forgot about the series

The first three GoW games are pretty good. They are competent cover-based shooters with fun characters and a compelling grimdark setting. They are unapologetically visceral and gory. If you're going to play any of the games, I would stick with them.
The latter titles aren't as good. They toned down the gore and tried to subvert the series with ham-fisted feminist themes. I just hope Gears of War: E-Day will be a return to form. I'm glad that we will be playing as Marcus Fenix again and not the new characters.

Overrated but not bad games. Gears One to three are very dark and good games.
Don't bother playing Gears four and five. Worst fucking games to exist. Too many cutscenes, repetitive gameplay, not enough enemy types, and woke as fucking shit.
