There is absolutely nothing that can be done to prevent natural selection from taking place. Nothing. No political system, no government policy, and no ideology can prevent the inferior from ending up at the bottom of society. Natural selection and evolution is just a basic universal law of nature just like gravity. It's always going to exist. Natural selection can´t be totally avoided, but I'm quite sure there are serious economic interests in keeping this status quo. Welfare state has been effectively hijacked to create an artificial division in the masses, pitting the unprivileged slaves versus the privileged slaves - aka less manhandled than the first "class". The criteria of what gender is the "chooser" and which is the "chaser" depends on which one has more overall instability for the lesser to keep because the chooser has more sexual utility.
In a world of humanitarian helpfulness/ insulation, then women are the choosers because they're more widely wanted.
