A solemn ceremony of signing an Agreement on cooperation between the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation and the Centralized Religious Organization of Orthodox Judaism "Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia" (FEOR) took place in Moscow today.
On behalf of the director of the Russian Guard, Army General Viktor Zolotov, the document was signed by the deputy head of the department, Colonel-General Alexey Vorobyov. On the part of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia, the agreement was signed by FEOR President Alexander Boroda.
The document provides for the expansion of cooperation in issues of joint measures to counteract manifestations of xenophobia and anti-Semitism, and also assumes cooperation in the field of education, culture and spiritual and moral education of military personnel and police officers of the Russian Guard.
During the ceremony, Colonel General Alexey Vorobyov noted that the signing of the Cooperation Agreement with the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia is a historic step - a symbol of close cooperation and mutual understanding between Rosgvardiya and the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia.
The Deputy head of the Department stressed that the signing of the Agreement demonstrates the commitment of both sides to strengthening interethnic harmony, mutual respect and trust.
"The agreement will be another important step towards strengthening interethnic harmony, preserving cultural diversity and ensuring the safety of all citizens of our country, regardless of their national or religious affiliation," said Colonel General Alexei Vorobyov.
The Deputy Director of Rosgvardiya thanked Alexander Boroda and all representatives of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia for their help and assistance, openness and full mutual understanding.
In turn, Alexey Boroda noted that the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia understands the important role of Rosgvardiya in maintaining stability and tranquility in society, and also stressed that this work is important and necessary so that representatives of all nationalities and faiths can live in peace and tranquility.
After signing the Agreement, Colonel General Alexey Vorobyov conducted an excursion for representatives of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia at the Central Museum of the National Guard Troops, during which he told the guests about the history of the law enforcement forces and the tasks being solved by the department at the present stage.
