My mother only married my father out of pity and because she thought he would at least bring home the bacon. When she got her three kids from him she refused to have sex with him. He naturally looked for sex elsewhere and had sex with my mom's pal. They were caught by her. She told us kids not to talk to our father anymore and we did as we were told. This caused a massive rift in the family. My dad became a threatening angry entity. I believe this lead to my feelings of inadequacy and depression that still dog me 40 years on.

My mother also married my dad out of pity. My mum is a semi attractive tall blonde but had at the time (and still has) a horrible self-centered personality that drove a lot of good suitable men away (she would tell me about these great guys she dated before she met my dad).
