Don't rope, my vision is fine, but I was born blind in right eye, and that fucking sucks, close your left eye and will see why. But I usually don't think much about it, normally no foid would notice that. And why don't you switch to lens?i already have -3.75 eyesight and its still getting worse even thoughim 28. my glasses get thicker and thicker all the time. i will truly rope soon

No bro, noooo . I hope the degradation stops soon. How old are you? Is your prescription getting worse too?-3 is still okay. Having vision, even shitty vision is better than no vision at all.
I'm at -8.00 and I'm going blind (retinal degradation, they dont know why) so I have partial vision loss already.

Isnt there medicine for retinal degradation? My grandma has that i am pretty sure and she cant see anything in the center of her vision, she uses her peripheral vision to look at things. I coulda sworn she said theres ways to treat it nowadays. Either that or they are working to make oneCompared to most here, I'd be considered old. Middle aged.
I used to be at a -2.00 when I was younger then jumped up high to -5.00 in my early 20's. Then progressed worse slowly over many years to -8.00.
Is the prescription getting worse? I dont know, I stopped going to the optometrist when I got diagnosed since its pointless and wont change anything.
Yeah, I also hope the retinal degradation stops. My biggest fear is not that I would be completely blind, but it be needing to reliant on complete strangers for the most basic of things. And since most of my life I've been treated badly by people (including by family members) I dont trust anyone. So that terrifies me the most. I dont want to lose my independence and be reliant on others (who will probably treat me really badly if the past has taught me anything).
Do you have the disease because of your myopia or what? That is fucking brutal man. They cant treat it?Rookie numbers I have -10 and astigmatism and degenerative eye disease that I skipped the doctor appointment and got drunk instead, I can already see dark spots in my vision at night I reckon i'll be blind in my early 30s
They can treat it or at least slow it down I just choose to skip because I didn't feel like driving 3 hours to a specialist hospital, too much bother, and no the disease is what caused myopia and astigmatism I had perfect vision when born and as a childDo you have the disease because of your myopia or what? Brutal i hope it stops getting worse bro. Im gonna schedule an eye appointment for myself to see if i have anythingThey can treat it or at least slow it down I just choose to skip because I didn't feel like driving 3 hours to a specialist hospital, too much bother, and no the disease is what caused myopia and astigmatism I had perfect vision when born and as a child
Yep continuous loss of vision when younger is usually a symptom of something, hopefully something common like chronic dryBrutal i hope it stops getting worse bro. Im gonna schedule an eye appointment for myself to see if i have anything

This is so blackpill. I read that fluoride makes this more common as well. Everything is ruining our bodies nowadays. I heard they might be able to use stemcells but thats probably for rich people and jewsWhen it comes to retinal conditions, there is no cure and there is no treatment. The retina is the extension of the brain (its essentially a extension of the cortex neurons). They can try to stop or slow the conditions down with various lasers or surgeries, but they come with major risks (such as sudden total vision loss.... instead of progressive vision loss, or ocular instability which leads to eye amputations, etc). And when it comes to internal eye surgeries, they have the highest incidences of failure and adverse events.
They've been researching retinal implant devices (a electronic device implanted into the eye and/or into the brain to help provide some vision to those with total vision loss. But its so early in the development that its probably going to take many decades for them to perfect it before its ever ready for common use. Again, it also comes with huge risks (experimental trials on it have led the participants develop seizures, strokes, blood clots, inflammatory and auto-immune reactions and conditions). And seeing how the world is today, I dont put much faith into humanity solving the problem any time soon.
