My pc takes a unreal amount of time to shut off

It used to take like 10 seconds but now it takes 40 seconds. Any reason why. The disks are not full. Only i reinstalled windows a couple months ago. Pc is 3 years old

Might not be Windows but some application you've got running that is blocking. What apps have you installed?
