It's funny and frustrating at the same time. They either truly can't see me for who I really am because they're my parents, or they know the truth but want me to keep going so they dangle this carrot of marriage in front of me. They can't grasp that the world has changed. Women have most of the power in marriages here. You can't just get an arranged marriage and call it a day, thinking you escaped loneliness.
After girls treating me like a piece of junk for all my life, do my parents really think marriage is gonna change anything??? At all??

Parent's are inclined to feel that way towards their child, because to admit that your child can't get a girlfriend means to admit that your bloodline is genetically inferior. It's a subconscious thing to protect their ego.
