My nan is dying of cancer and I never got to bring a girlfriend home to show her that I am going to make it in life

Title instead of posts me.

Unless she is blind, she already knew it's over

Thats bad but she has other things to care im sure.

I'm sorry bro...

My father died exactly 16 hours before I finished my job training. I had been living a NEET life for 33 years and finally got a qualification at that age. And my father died at 8 PM and my final test was at 12 PM the next day.

Tell her to go on Dr. Sebis Vegan diet. Cancer solved.

always giving me platitudes so she clearly thought I was gonna make it
She probably knows lots of women who have single daughters your own age. If she thought you had a chance, she would have at least tried to use her social connections to help you find someone to date.

Of course, deep down she knows that every single woman would reject you instantly based on your looks. It's a type of cognitive dissonance. She would rather be in denial than admit that the female gender is the reason why you will live a life of suffering.

:cryfeels:

Same thing happened to me recently

If you feel strongly about this, you should tell her.

Is worst if the person is alive and see you after years and notice that you're still alone.
That shit happens to me a lot.

This just brought back a suppressed memory. When I was a teen approx 14-16, when my grandmother was still alive my cousin was dating some crazy problematic chick. Grandmother said something to the effect of: Ellsworth please when you get a girlfriend get a good one, not one like your cousin. 20 years later still no gf. :feelsmage: :feelscry:

i'm sorry man, my grandpa died at no less than 93 and he's never seen me with a woman. iirc last that he told me was to 'be brave'.

She could be disappointed if you're one of her several grandchildren, but crushed if you're the only one.
My parents won't get their genes passed on, but my half my cousins are Chads and Stacies and I'm sure my grandparents weren't too bothered about me being a genetic dead end.

i wish i could make my family proud, im such a failure :feelsrope:

mine are all dead and neither did i. im sure they thought i was a fuck up too well thanks to you for giving me some of my fucked up features.

I used to think that if I tried really hard I'd be able to get a girlfriend while my parents are still here, and it would make them happy knowing that I'd succeeded in something I found very difficult.

I no longer cling to this fantasy. It's never going to happen, and I'm not going to burn myself out trying in false hope just to make them happy.
