My father is 165 cm tall, as is my mother. Among my ancestors there are no people taller than 165 cm, and I am about 168 cm.

My parents have a bad relationship, they are now divorced. My family has always been dysfunctional. And as far back as I can remember, my mother always made fun of her husband's height.
I study in another city at university. And every time I come home once a year, she checks to see if I have grown taller, although I am already 23 years old. Once she tried on my clothes, realized that her arms were longer than mine, sighed heavily, and called me short, like my father.
My mother and grandmother compare me to my cousin. His mother is the same height as my mother, but his father is tall, so he is also tall and broad-shouldered. My mother and grandmother constantly say, "He is so tall and has such broad shoulders, and you are short and have no shoulders, you should take up swimming so that they become wider and your height increases." At the same time, they do not care at all that I have a pretty face, and he has an asymmetrical ugly face.

I once complained about my manlet height and after a while of trying to normipill me she finally said that cuz your father is a manlet as well,btw she`s 5`1 and dad is 5`5. My uncles from mum`s side are short as well meanwhile the father`s side is tall and facially attractive.

The height of your ancestors also plays a role. For example, you could have tall grandfathers. But my ancestors were NEVER taller than 165 cm, i.e. there are no genes for tallness in my genome.
When I was a teenager, I dreamed of growing to 180 cm. Then I thought, "Okay, 175 cm will do for me." But my growth stopped at 13, like all my ancestors.
