My parents do the same thing I'm with them during the holidays. Probably because it makes meal planning easier, I guess. I suppose it's good to reduce food waste.

But they severely underseason their food, just this week I managed to convince my mother that she had to salt her pasta water, she's been spending her entire life cooking pasta without salting the fucking water
