My Mom is a Self Obsessed Narcissist

You can tell what someone cares about by what they talk about.

My Mom talks primarily about herself.
She knows nothing of politics, religion, the news, science…..she knows nothing about everything.

Every time I call her, she proceeds to go on a 45 minute speech about herself.

She is so obsessed with herself that she actually believes that she is an interesting topic of conversation.

Her idea of a conversation is everyone quietly listening to her give a speech.
Which usually lasts more than half an hour.

She is almost 70 years old and never learned how a conversation works.

But…..the sad reality of it all?
Every foid is like this.

A foids favorite topic is herself.

Yeah its brutal, i feel like im surrounded by narcissists as well. One of my coworkers keeps bragging about donating blood regulary. I can tell he does it for his ego and not because he actually is interested in helping people. I even called him out on it but he of course denies it and claims he wants to help people. Yeah sure

The same thing happens with my mother, unfortunately, she is ignorant of many topics like the ones you mention, but for some reason she has to have an opinion on them anyway.

My mom thinks she's right about everything and will blame stuff on me, she did days ago. Instead of being honest and admitting to it. She'll break something and will say I did it. Even when I wasn't even with her during the incident.

I started to realize my mom was also picky with men too. She had children with a man twice her age because he was tall,and now I have no father because he was 60 and by the time I was 4 he died.

She calls it a preference and is waiting for her (dream man) which won't happen unless she settles.
Men give her stuff all the time at her job and actively ask my mom out and she still rejects them over the littlest things. Like being 5'6 or being bald.
If she doesn't settle,she won't have anyone and will wonder why she's lonely like those single moms on soytock
