He's the closest I've had to a friend in college and he's just lost his father last night. I feel like trash knowing he's essentially one of us, and probably will be. He's short and unattractive. He's depressed like most of us, so I fear what might happen now. I'll try my best to support him. But man, what a cruel fucking world.

He has my condolences because I know the pain of losing my father who was my best friend in life. It’s sad shit man

Part of life, everything dies. Be there for him, but give him space if he wants to. In moments like those, we often want to forget and sleep through it. Get him food and drink, in hard moments like those no one is in the mood to prepare food.

I'm sorry. You sound like a good friend.

I can't imagine what he's going through, or what you went through. Only now I know that I need to cherish every moment I have with my parents.

It was rough and is still rough tbh. He was a great friend to me that I lost. And he also worked on many projects with me. Without him, there’s just shit I can’t do anymore and have to pay someone to do it.

But at least I can do many repairs myself on yard equipment and other stuff. Never take your parents for granted if they’re good

I hope you get better and it becomes easier to cope.

I'll do good to remember that.

My father is also the best friend I have. I can't imagine things without him.

It’s better than it was when he first died. But it’ll never be the same. I don’t even have a friend into cars so I do all the car stuff alone now
I'll do good to remember that.
Nice. I’m glad you have good parents

It’s a massive loss, and the nostalgia of all the memories comes pouring in the day after

The thing is I'll probably live to see that day. How can one even prepare for that... I guess you can't.

Just mentally acknowledge that it likely will come and prepare a little in terms of finding out important information about things your father knows that you also should. And try to have some spare money, although this can be hard.

But emotionally, don’t worry about it too much until it comes. Enjoy life as much as you can because worrying won’t change the result anyhow
