he is right. You wont have energy when older. But one thing to not neglect is to get good at one specific professional skill i.e you have to specialise in something and you can start now, at least one thing.

You see in professional sports most athletes compete at the highest levels untill about 35 years of age, some untill 40 and why? Because untill about 35 is when you have loads and loads of energy and can learn new stuff really well and very fast.

thats why This is the time to go gym and build your body, learn a specific professional skill very well, grades not so important, of course you need to pass but you get paid for skill sets not for grades. Travel, plenty budget travel out there if you look , stuff like last minute flights etc. Looksmaxx now and quit alcohol, drugs now. Start a routine of swimming , dancing or cycling for cardio which you never stop even till your 70's.
