While conducting patrols on the outskirts of our FOB in Syria. I recall seeing a deceased foid. Her burka removed. Protocol was to report her death to local authorities and have her corpse moved out of the patrol path. (Due to fear of potential IEDs.) as I was tasked with calling in the dead corpse.
A local man stopped me and Spoke to our translator. and told me what the woman had done. And why she’s deceased.

As it turns out she murdered her own son. Though the reasons behind the murder remain a mystery. The father a member of the local police force in the area. Even the father couldn’t really believe that his wife, of ten years could do something so heinous.

But sure enough when our patrol conducted movement to the nearby household. We found the young child of four years old brutally stabbed to death over the kitchen table. No reason given. No reason posted. A father lost both his son and wife and for what? Nothing it seems.

Once the body was cleared for IEDs, her body was promptly investigated, her death ruled a suicide the murder weapon in question shoved firmly into her own stomach.

What pisses me off even more was the media silence and the fact this death wasn’t reported. I guarantee if the genders were swapped we’d be hearing all about it. Instead, we were told to simply maintain security for the local police force. As they collected the corpses and life continued on in the Syrian village.

Even in countries where women don’t have similar rights to western foids they enjoy the privilege of having their dignity protected, while if it was a male assailant they’d be hanged and shown to the world.

Whats happening with the US bases given the new government and trumps admin?

Brutal. No surprise.

Glad you asked. Nothing much actually. Our bases continue operations as normal. Only difference is that we got marines moving to the southern border maintaining security.

Otherwise opsec and mission essential deployments continue as normal, only difference is that we have emphasis on the southern border.

So the way units function is actually quite interesting. The mission of the marine corps is simple, just a force to be used in the event of an emergency. All marine corps units have their own missions lined out, and so far those missions continue, even after the ascension of trump…

How you see that… idk. Could be that trump has no intention of really doing much with us, other than keeping us close to the US-Mexico border.

That's awful, SGT. I've seen POV's and all of genuine warfare and the amount of bodies, forgotten never to be found. Just how many bodies are left to the wayside, you know?

Actually, you’d be surprised. But when my unit showed up. Circa. 2021 in support of army soldiers stationed there. Our only task was to conduct patrols around the FOB. Ensuring safety and security in the nearby settlement as well.

Bodies weren’t too bad. Hence the extreme reaction to that one foid body. And life more or less continued as normal in the Syrian countryside. Our FOB being so close kept parties who wanted to harm the village far and out of sight.

Still, there was occasional artillery and mortar attacks from the Syrian army in the south. Alongside occasional firefights far from the FOB. (those patrols were conducted by special forces though, not Us in the normal infantry.)

I wonder how she even got there, then? You were stationed near a village? Weird, most Syrian FOB I saw are stationed far away from any other civilization. To make sure no citizens would get in.

I mean, we were decently far away. I’d argue the closest village was roughly… about fifty miles away.

but the main issue with being far away from civilization is the logistical Hassal of trying to get mission essential gear. (MREs, actual potable water, ammo) and we had a severe shortage of drivers who actually knew what the fuck they were doing. also fuck you Syrian hydro companies your water was fucking dog shit.

Oh okay, my bad lol. I thought you were bordering them or something. I can see that being an issue. My mom was a NAVY veteran and actually was in Syria as well. She developed severe issues, but that is beside the point. They don't have some sort of cook station nearby? My mom told me stories about the gourmet of chef's and food delivered there.

There was the field chow halls they had the FOB. Admittedly I think the cooks/camp tax guys did a good job with the limited supplies they had. Though we mainly used MREs since they served small portions at the field chow halls. Believe it or not, some DoorDash guys managed to get us food. The crazy fucks. Lmao.

What the hell, really? Holy that is crazy! How long did the bastards take driving hours to get to you lol?

Actually it didn’t take them THAT long. Remember these streets were dead empty and the local police force were more focused on guns and explosions then speeding cars.

They’d go at extreme speeds to get us food sometimes. Since American dollars were a big deal in Syria.

Only issue is it would scare the fuck out of the guys holding front security as they see a black civilian sedan fucking booking it towards them. Good times. :feelskek:

I can imagine what the rest of your mates thoughts were (assuming they didn't know lol) Sounds like a decently good time! It would probably scare me to!

Yes, and. They are islamic countries, it's what happens when you betray God, you don't get the fruits of his promise. They are Canaanites.

Theres 50 billion humans and 8.2 billion alive, there is barely anything that hasnt happen (outside technology).

Everything could have let her to kill her young son and then herself.

I would have checked her for IUD's too!

Can't be too careful these days!

:)::party at the morgue tent tonight!)
