It follows one of eight royal families in a fragmented medieval-ish feudal dystopia after the sudden death of the imperial dynasty by its own bodyguard. Court politics are a minefield, and all the other kingdoms want their capitol, the most sacred and prestigious city of the old empire.
Although it's not meant to be about inceldom or the blackpill specifically, the book does include an incel protagonist, so some themes relevant to those things do get dealt with.
The word count is around 150,000 words, which, although long compared to most novels, is typical for its specific genre. I think it's worth a read for people who are into this kind of book, which those of you who've already read it can attest.
