As someone who has both, dogs can sure as fuck be manipulative lmao. My dog used to pretend to not be able to do things so others would do it for her. I remember I used to help her all the time but one day I spotted her from afar getting up on the bed with zero help with ease even though if she knows I'm watching she will pretend to have a hard time and will try to get me to help her instead.
