FAVOURITE:

1. Repeated crouched body jabs Cus D'amato-style, then feint with a foot tap as you pull back, making them think you're resetting, before exploding into a cross from existing crouched position.
Inspired by Mike Tyson. PEEKABOO STYLE

2. Double jab: Throw a jab, pull it back halfway, then fire a stiff jab.
3. Jab, step back, jab, then cross.
Inspired by Dmitry Bivol.

4. Lean-back shoulder roll counter: Lean back to avoid the punch as you turn the shoulder inward to shield, then fire a cross.
Inspired by Evander Holyfield. USED IN TYSON V HOLYFIELD I AND BUSTER DOUGLAS V HOLYFIELD
5. Jab, cross, roll, then cross again: Throw a jab-cross combination, roll to avoid the counter, then throw another cross.
Inspired by Mike Tyson. PEEKABOO STYLE

6. Fake jab, step in, left hook to the liver (right arm up for guard), left hook, roll, and either smother or clinch. (follow-up strikes are great but dangerous for sparring)
7. Repeated body jabs to set up left hook.
Inspired by Floyd Mayweather.

8. In the clinch, force space with the left shoulder while pulling away, then throw a right uppercut, left hook, right hook.
Inspired by Evander Holyfield.

9. V-slip jab-cross-roll: V-slip to the side, throw a jab and cross, then roll to avoid the counter.
Inspired by Mike Tyson. PEEKABOO STYLE
10. Throw a jab while stepping forward, then follow up with an overhand cross to close the distance and land a powerful shot.
Inspired by Mike Tyson. USED IN TYSON VS GOLATA

PRACTICING on Willie Bag/Sparring:

1. Cus D'amato-shift.
2. Slip jab.
3. Jab - Cross - Jab: To cut distance. Cross has no power.
Always keep guard up. Be on balls of your feet. Don't waste excess energy bouncing around. Avoid being flat-footed. Rotate hips with punches. Speed > Power.

unnatural slave behavior, okay,

How are these combo's working out during sparring?
1 works but you need the timing but sometimes my tempo is ruined if x immediately stiff jabs after me so I have to reset since I close my eyes.
2 easily works as does 5 and 9. I've been caught hard flush with 6 - I wasn't happy since it hurt and made me over-reactive to his feints and tap-dance with him for a bit.

10 works but I am very careful to use it as it sparingly. 4 is risky because you need really good timing and reading but it works. 6 works against ropes at best, I have not been able to close the distance or bully my way into it when trying to implement it in the middle. 7 works well.
3 can work but decent partners won't fall for the bait for some reason. I want to time it well but at most I get the second jab and they read it.

8 is my favourite JFL. I've also noted down GGG using his head on the inside to set up his shots better. I can't implement it because I'm yet to understand the internal logic of it, so I can get rough with forcing my head against them which is something I used to do and have been done on in Jiujitsu. It makes me feel like Holyfield when I can clinch and inside fight. I want to learn that nitty-gritty style but I don't want to hurt sparring partners and I'm new.

What about defense? How to train to avoid punches and have the reflexes of a cat?
Sparring and PT training. Have someone throw the punches and you slip and fire back. Technical sparring where you have a goal or goals on what to try and what needs fixing. It's like fixing something physical. If a doesn't work, maybe adjust balance and try again.

Not a cat yet.

Fuck off. Get ignored. No substance biohazard useless bitch boy. You didn't get an extreme reaction from me. I'm just annoyed by pretentious tiktok 2024faggots who I've never spoken to behave like you. I think you should kill yourself and post it here so it can be referenced for future users.

Boxing has to be one of the hardest skills to learn. Peak Tyson made it look all so easy but he would wouldn't he as he honed his skill to the top level.

Mirin. I want to sign up for some form of martial arts in the future. I'm looking into muay/boxing for striking. Idk if I want to do any ground

My boxing philosophy is very simple.

Lots of head movement and foot work (a lot of people just stand there like a punching bag), high/medium guard, prioritize the jab and cross. Look for openings/timings for powerful crosses/overhand rights.

Even at the professional level I see way too many boxers over utilizing hooks which just wastes energy imo especially from a distance.

Pacquiao was a perfect example of someone who had shorter reach but despite that, made up for it with the best footwork and attack angles.
