We see some copes like the world is going to collapse in masculinist or doomer spaces, often influenced by media like movies or books "OMG we're going to live in Cybercuck 2077" :soy: The truth is that these dystopian views serve more as reflections than predictions, they are expressions and explorations of our anxieties and internal states: THEY ARE NOT MEANT TO BE REAL. Normies fail to understand that and take it literally.

Tomorrow's world probably isn't utopia or dystopia but something quieter: adaptation, correction, maybe even rediscovery. This is a final reminder that life is ultimately boring and cyclical , don't take it too seriously boyos

We're stuck in a loop buddy boyos

I would say we’re actually in late-stage Abundance, sliding toward Apathy

Yeah a lot of it is cope/ressentment. If i'm losing and society repulses me then BILLIONS MUST DIE type of shit. I dont buy it. Due to my job i'm outside way more than the average person, and in a city that has a bad reputation worldwide that is, and i notice that the declinist rhetoric is pure wishful thinking, cause the truth is that the collapse ALREADY FUCKING HAPPENED. But people are perfectly happy with it, especially women that walk around like queens. Breakdown of communities, families, morals, fatherhood, masculinity, it's been all under our noses since the 80 or 90's maybe. What are cuckservatives, masculinists or nationalists even fighting for ? This world is already a stinky corpse if you have a snippet of sensibility left.

Yeah, I know 1984 isn't going to be real but these books do serve as cautionary tales so that this kind of shit doesn't happen.

Mostly as Chuddy's laws would dictate nothing ever happens, and it will probably stay that way for a really long time or if ever.

It's true, social norms have broken down and been destroyed ever since forced interaction and over-socialization exceeded a certain threshold, and this has been accelerated by the advent of social medias and dating apps.

Have the seen the video of the burning foid?

Everyone video her from many angles

I swear all i see outside is pure hyper individualistic pandemonium, it's sad and soulless. Now i'm sure not everyone feels the same way, i'm like a hedgehog than cant find warmth in others therefore cant escape the cold emanating from that corpse.

I'd say we're starting to see the beginnings of apathy, these days people are more anxious about the economy and abundance. In Japan, for example, the price of rice had skyrocketed.

It reminds me of the hedgehog's dilemma in Evangelion, where he seeks warmth from others of his kind, but must try to find the distance so as not to be stung in return. We need proximity and human warmth, but too much closeness can hurt, revealing our vulnerabilities in a world where people are merciless.

Should I GAF about rice?
(Lol)

Because rice is a good indicator of basic food inflation, just like steak in burgerland is a good thermometer of the cost of living in the middle and upper classes.

I'm making my final peace with it atm, it's definitive that i cant find warmth in others cause i've been alone for too long and been too hurt. All which has been no less a byproduct of this shitty collapsed world anyways. I guess the question is collapsed for who ? It definitely is for me.

Maybe that is how doomers etc should approach that question instead of hurting themselves with their wishful thinking. Reminds me of those mgtows channels coping about women being miserable or some shit when it's all a load of crap.

Did you have the humor beat out of you?

Do you have any arguments instead of taking an arrogant stance?
imo complete dystopian soyciety is far away till now but the effects can be seen people are fighting with eachother on the basis on political ideology Nihilism taking over hedonism taking over certain parts of world want dictator (nothing wrong in it)

But what really counts as a dystopian future?

1984 is true you can see it around it just depends on what scale you are witnessing it

Because we are selfish to the core. Abundance just brings it to the fore.
That makes no sense. Surely we'd be more selfish when ressources are scarce, not when they are abundant

That loop doesn't mention scarcity.
Besides, even when resources are scarce, you need a tightly knitted group to ward off the interests of others. But when resources are available in abundance, there's a very little need for that sort of community (in short term) which ironically spells the death of such an abundance-fueled society.

Yeah but scarcity is the opposite of abundance

Yeah that makes sense. I didnt thought of it like that
