Mr Girl articulates things I've always had a hunch about with Dr. K and the mental health industry. I am a bit more extreme in that I think ALL of it is a scam-- the "licensed" ones even moreso. But he does outline a few things that boil down what specifically Dr. K's "coaching" sham is--

It's pseudo-therapy over zoom.

Imagine paying 40 bucks a session to have some creative writing major failed normie, who is barely trained by Dr. K, and has no access to communicate with him directly; and who probably only has it slightly better than you with regard to mental health, sit there and kind of listen to you-- except when you get too extreme, all so he can advertise "real accredited" therapy for you. It's interesting that the coach CAME TO HIM. Almost as a cry for help. Maybe he cares more about his clients more than Dr. K does, only that this coach is conscientious enough to realize he doesn't have the tools for real help, and that his clients probably deserve better. As well intentioned this coach is, he's just a cuck.

Sure some people can find a use for this-- but Mr. Girl is correct in his instinct that not many people are in the tepid mental health range this is geared toward. If you are fucked up enough to try this you probably need the REAL SHIT, and admittedly, this is all the coachinig program is-- it's a middleman YOU PAY FOR, to advertise more expensive therapy for you.

What a condescending name, too. "Healthy Gamer", as if that's an anomaly among gamers. How many "novel" YouTube channels do you see labelled as "Healthy Fireman" JFL.

Also that tub of lard in the vid is far from "healthy".

Ok, jackass. Gamers can be healthy. Also, "healthy" basically means "fit for survival". Of COURSE "inkwells" aren't as "fit for survival" as people like you, the whole point is that society beats them down in the dominance hierarchy, ruining their status, social life, and emotional state through ostracization, making them more depressed, suicidal, etc. Them being unhealthy isn't proof of them being wrong, it's evidence of them being right.

The idea that "wrong" ideas are more likely to make you unhealthy is inherently an argument that the majority believing something makes it more likely to be true, as believing something that a minority believes will always have a downward pull on one's mental health compared to if that idea were in the majority, whereas there are tons of imaginable circumstances where believing the truth might make one more depressed compared to the blissful lie when the truth is depressing and brutal. In other words, it's an argumentum ad populum, when used on its own. If an argument cannot stand on its own then it is not worthwhile.

Being "healthy" is not "good" if it distracts from the truth. OF COURSE following the zeitgeist blissful myth makes you more "healthy" because following the cathedral gets you less stress and more all-around social support.

Being "healthy" is only good insofar as it helps one achieve one's goals individually. It's only what what wants in order to get some other thing that one wants.

Also, "GG" at the end adds that perfect touch of insecurity and "how do you do, fellow kids?"

my response was very much pointed at millienial/Gen Z attitudes toward 'lifestyle' over the only thing that matters-- familial love. The problem is that the social media power they seek is an illusion where there's ultimately always an enemy around to crush you into an undulating cycle of abuse which we have now.

The reason why the family unit is the prize is that throughout history, this has always been a garden normal men and women can reasonably tend to. It's aspirational-- yet it's not some Faustian task that is nigh impossible. Hypergamy has made the family unit become a Faustian task unto itself.

But when one has it, and understands the fruits it gives back, the family unit is the one thing that is universal, and is something humans SHOULD be responsible for. When the world becomes the family, yes you feed the world, but then it becomes like factory farming-- homogenous, unorganic, unoriginal, deprived of nutrients, and full of pesticides.

It is better to taste true nectar once than sustain yourself with scraps.
