Discussion Movies you like that others tend to dislike

I know this is a common idea for a thread so erm, I hope it's not clashing with another recent one!

For me some that spring to mind are Matrix Resurrections, Alien: Covenant, Spectre and the '90s Judge Dredd movie.

There are probably more but if I think of them I'll put them in other posts I guess

Idk today but in the past everybody said spiderman 3 was a bad movie.

When i was a kid i loved it and still think it is good even now.

One I quite like that is very controversial is The Last Jedi.

It did treat Luke awfully earlier on in the movie and that was definitely the biggest issue with it I had.

But... overall I thought it was an imaginative movie with a great ending, and it knew how to have a bit of fun too

Doom I liked yeah.

War of the Worlds is a strange one. People never really talk about it but I thought it was pretty good.

I liked this, not Revolutions though.

I liked this, not Revolutions though.

Yeah I found Reloaded kind of samey and OTT - although it did have some great moments - and Revolutions... kind of messy and it felt rushed. And I didn't find the Agent Smith story particularly compelling or satisfying.

The original and Resurrections though I thought were both more complex overall and more interesting
