Most protagonists in movies and shows are male, and this isn't because men simply consume more media than women and want to watch other men on screen, in fact I'd say women are bigger media consumer nowadays - most Netflix content is geared towards teen girls and fags.

I think that this is because even women find it easier to get behind a male lead, perhaps because of their subconscious understanding that they are the lesser sex, which I've occasionally heard foids even say openly. I remember hearing a drunk older foid once proclaim, "let's be honest, men just are funnier than women" and a lot of the women around here saying, "yeah, I hate to admit it, but it's true." I was only like 14 when this occurred, so I don't think they minded saying such misogynistic :soy: things in my presence.

In fact, a lot of the time, the parts of the show that audiences say they want less of are the female character-driven storylines. Just an observation I've made

a protagonist has to be active and accomplish things under his own power.

Something foids can't do because they are lazy and eat hot chip and lie.

most films fit the hero's journey format of storytelling, which is supposed to emulate the pattern of struggle and overcoming obstacles. women don't go through this process, therefore it would be unfitting to put them at the focal point of a story.

fictional foids can do it but the suspension of disbelief is too great for the audience to overcome.
that's why female-led films and tv are less successful bc the audience knows the hero is psychologically unrealistic.

Fictional foids are more loyal and aren't hypocritical. Meanwhile irl it's the opposite :feelsrope:

I agree, a basic story arch includes obstacles, which women don't face in life
