You could be minding your own business and a random foid will catch eyes with you and immediately avert her gaze/scowl. ...and then, when you are tired of it all and just want out of this hellhole, they're all like "nonono all life is precious, suicide bad, euthanasia bad, nonononononono". So you're not allowed nice things, and you're not allowed to tap out either, you're still expected to contribute to society despite getting way less than you give in return. Basically, they consider you a slave, even if they don't put it that way (and why would they? Admitting slavery makes you look bad, so you must deceive everyone about that, and the best way to deceive others is to belive in your bullshit).
