Regional differences are greatly diminished in the younger generations due to them having grown up on the internet. Their socioeconomic status is more likely to influence their outlook than the state they're from. You're right. The masculine (or I guess just "normal") stereotype from the non-coastal whites is gone.

This is just an exception but I would say the younger generation I meet playing basketball at the local college gym are pretty much the same as they were 10 years ago. I think competition gives you a pretty blackpill or at least realistic perspective on life. But they're like .1% of the population so it doesn't matter.

I live in Europe but encounter these type of people as well. It's a result of them having no real culture or religion left anymore to base their identity on so they have to create an identity mainly out of the media they consume and memes. They're honestly the most depressing group of people to observe; their parents tend to be divorced so they have no understanding of what a healthy family looks like, they have no moral compass aside from "as long it doesn't hurt anyone and makes you feel good" which is why they end up supporting some of the worst degeneracy like transgenderism.
