Most advice is poor because the person giving it out is disconnected from your struggles.
Generic advice: Show empathy and try to understand the perspective and feelings of the person you are communicating with. This helps build rapport and fosters effective communication. While these kinds of advice is generally appliable and can improve communication skills, specific contexts, cultural differences, and relationships may require additional communication strategies. Imagine talking to a foul mouth nigger that all he does is talk shit, and just wanna fight. this doesn't fucking work. Things need to get fucking physical.
Outdated advice: This can be boomer advice concerning the gravity of the economy, and where you should spend money, and how much money you should have by a given age. Furthermore, imagine someone advises you to print copies of your resume and physically visit offices to submit your application. While this used to be a common practice in the past, today, most job applications are submitted online through company websites or job portals.
Context-specific advice: Imagine someone provides workout routines and nutrition tips specifically designed for endurance athletes training for marathons. While this advice may be appliable and beneficial for marathon runners, it may not be as relevant or suitable for individuals focusing on strength training or those with different fitness goals.
Biased or subjective advice: Dating advice coming from Chad-like coaches, or those that already have relationships. Imagine someone advises you on how to handle a conflict in your relationship based on their own past experiences or beliefs about what makes a successful relationship. However, relationships are highly personal and subjective, and what works for one relationship may not work for another. Their advice may not be applicable to your specific situation or relationship dynamics.
So when you see an inspirational quotes or a pseudo-supportive advice, be sure to seek how you can apply it. Most of the time it doesn't work because of these reasons. We may be humans, but the gravity of our problems are different.
