Normies have the worst taste in gaming. They're obsessed with freedom and non linearity. Modern games are a reflection of this. Elden Ring for example, anyone with a faction of taste could tell you it's a downgrade from older from soft games and it's open world doesn't constitute much more than copy and pasted dungeons and bosses. Yet, normies love it because MUH FREEDOM. Same with Breath of the Wild. Same with Mario Odyssey. Same with Donkey Kong Bananza.


Why are games shit? Because normies are retarded and orgasm when given leh freedom to engage in mediocre content in any order.

I like linear games like half life because devs can put so much more care into the maps with detail and easter eggs. The only detailed open worlds ive seen were GTA 5 and Sea of Thieves. And in GTA 5 you still cant enter a lot of buildings so its empty details.
