No, I just have a bachelor's in it, but I still study it whenever I feel I need to in order to keep up with something. I want to pursue an MSc in stats, but life is getting in the way. I would need to save up lots of money to write entrance exams and take years off so I can study in peace and not worry about life expenses.

AI wasn't a big thing when I got my bs degree. I read about it back then but didn't look much into it much. nowadays it has advanced enough imo to be worth studying for real
I've done a few machine learning projects. But they are nothing compared to ChatGPT type stuff.
I would say start with an Udemy course and see if you like the work. Lots of the industry workflow is cleaning and parsing dara for the AI to be trained on. The academic work is less like that but still similar probably (I haven't done it yet, so can only speculate).
refresh all your college statistics frist. In maths just stuff like matrices and stuff like sigmoid functions the rest when needed which will be for very specific stuff at most.
Not difficult once you understand statitics and matrices, functions.
