So a while ago, I read (as i assume most of you did too) that women with with a university degree are less likely to get divorced. That is misleading. It induces you to believe that the reason for lower divorce rates are women's educational and financial status, when in reality it's men's. I'll explain: yes, women high higher education are less likely to divorce, but they're not less likely to divorce because they have a degree and a carreer, in fact women who make more money than their husband are MORE likely to divorce: https://www.parkerandparkerattorney...reater-if-a-wife-earns-more-than-her-husband/
So in reality, they are less likely to divorce because women marry across and up, so women with higher education will marry men who also have higher education, which usually means he makes more money. In fact, when a man makes A LOT more money than his wife, his chances of divorce drop significantly:

Why does it matter? Because the narrative they try to push is that if you marry a woman with higher education, it's a safer bet, because she's marrying later in life so she's got her life together etc. But this dosent hold truth at all, because women's own status dosent matter as a prevision of wether she'll divorce or not, what matters is how she feels about her husband's status.
If anything, if you make a significant amount of money, your chances of divorce might be even lower if you marry a 21 YO waitress instead
