I do support gender equality, which has to include considerations around equality on the sexual market, equality in lifetime outcomes in domains in which men perform worse than women and some form of compensation for all the areas of life where men are doomed to remain disadvantaged massively because of innate sex differences (e.g. being drafted for war).
The thing that is being hailed as "gender equality" is not bad because it is about making the sexes equal, it's bad because it lies about what is equal in a way that favors women and hurts men and our collective interests. It's bad because it's a corrupted version of what it claims to be.
Horror games or movies are sometimes based on a setting in which a demonic or satanic cult has taken over a religious town and turned it into a place of pagan worship and human sacrifice. This is a good analogy for what feminism and modern leftism have done to all movements concerned with equality.
Feminism is a primary driving force in the world fighting for gender inequality and modern leftism uses differences in performance between racial groups in society to generate political capital. These are perversions of what would be desirable and noble goals. They are evil, but the hollowed out ideals they wear as suits aren't at fault.

Basically, my stance is that in some cases men & women should have equal circumstances such as what you said
However, we need to acknowledge basic differences with gender & that foids aren't suited for certain roles, such as governance imo.

Absolute fairness also wouldn't be my highest value of choice. Sometimes a bit of inequality is the superior option. And in a society in which a sense of comradery and cooperation exists among the populace, this is very doable. Humans take pride in (and gain status by) sacrificing for the group.
When it comes to where women should or shouldn't be placed, there are two obvious options I can see. 1) Just hold everyone to an equal standard. This will result in an under-representation of women in certain fields, but it will be because there simply are very few women capable of competing in those fields in the first place. Sometimes this is because they aren't capable, sometimes this will be because most of them simply aren't interested in trying.
This still doesn't solve all issues though, since 1a) you can't easily test for every potentially desirable trait and 1b) women have harmful tendencies that might not directly relate to the job but still prove relevant in the long run. For example, introducing women into science was bound to cause issues, even if they were held to the same intellectual standard as men. You made a thread about the difference in support of censorship between women and men, so you know what I'm talking about.
I think women are totally fine to include in most places in most roles, as long as there is some acknowledgement of their undesirable traits. And as long as the men (and other women) around them have the desire to police these undesirable parts of female nature and are not only allowed, but encouraged to do so through social norms.
It's not that it can't be done, the societies we live in intentionally do the exact opposite of what is right out of delusion, out of status-seeking or to cater to female self-interest.
I agree with this. I don't hate the idea of equality. I hate misandry, gynocentrism, hypocrisy, double standards and gaslighting.
