Correction. It’s not to do with humility, it’s to do with eggs possessing innate value. Really the main delineating line for us is “would” vs “would not”. And what “would” means is “yeah these eggs are worth Atleast a couple dozen calories”. Beyond that, we don’t really have the mental infrastructure to CHOOSE between women. We regard most of them as viable mates. The ability to make and intuitively understand what it means to make Mate choice is solely a female phenomenon. Same way zero-sum sexual competition is something only intuitively understood by men - it does not exist among women, because they can always share. It’s why they don’t view men as their sole property, and will defend cheating by saying ‘well it didn’t mean anything”, because they don’t actually mind if a man fucks other women, just aslong as it doesn’t mean anything. They assume we appraise infidelity in the same way.
I suspect women don’t like this introduction to zero-sum sexual competition, as they don’t understand it, and long to go back to a paradigm where women are free to choose who they have sex with , aka all choosing the same guy and living in harems. I think this is the main driving force behind feminism. They want to be submissive inferior sex slaves, but not for Bob in accounting. Only for a worthy Chad who will produce killer sons.
