Experiment (Medicels GTFIH) Feasibility of vocal cord removal?

Recently the thought crossed my mind that in a utopian society every woman should have their vocal cords surgically removed at birth.

Are there any medicels that know how feasible this would be? There are surgical procedures to remove the entire larynx (to treat laryngeal cancer) but these take away your ability to breathe naturally and so it requires a stoma. This can obviously cause complications.

Are there better options available? Some sort of focused vocal cord removal that allow the rest of the larynx to function properly?

Well you wouldnt want to remove vocal cords at birth as you are causing potential airway obstruction due to edema, potential fatal bleeding post operation, potential asphyxiation. also have to feed the baby trough a nasogastric tube.
