I'm using it in the philosophical context when i say materialism i don't mean being materialistic but rather the idea of materialism itself the idea that matter is all that exists that is not necessarily atheistic it can be but it isn't intrinsically atheism tbh atheism is more no god it make's no claim on their being no life after death atheism simple translates to no god not no supernatural one can believe in the no god part but still believe in a after life or a supernatural world in the here after same applies with materialism you can believe in god but deny that their is a supernatural world after death their might be but i don't believe their is 1 my god is the god of the living not the god of the dead every other religion bar Arianism put's the god's as being the god's of the dead even new testament Christianity the old testament was much much more rational the old testament said that man is a imager of god but he is like the animal's nothing special in his own way and his fate is that of the beasts we are just rational animal's that being said god offer's eternal life through our his aid and our own effort's for he is the god of the living and i believe our purpose is to live forever and evolve their is no pretense of heaven or hell their is no eternal torment for non believer's but rather their are reward's that the hope if you will live forever one can be spiritual and not religious one can also be a materialist but not a atheist and materialism does not translate to hedonism that is a false equivalence fallacy materialism merely asserts material reality is all their is while hedonism asserts life should only be for pleasure since we live once wrong our life should be working towards more innovation more ways to extend life to try and live forever tbh

Materialism is not necessarily subjectivity tbh and your right atheistic materialism lead's onto that but i'm not that i'm a materialist arian i don't belive christ was god but i do belive in a god who is ever learning and his presence is all around us in our mind's as our mind's are imager's of him but i don't belive in christ being god he's an avatar maybe but he himself is not god.

Also moral's can be objective under materialism moral right and wrong judgement's are followed from natural law which are very much so physical and i add this to the term i'm using it is non material but it has no spiritual context onto it tbh.

As for the law's of logic that can exist in materialism as well as the law's of logic are real physical law's that apply onto physical thing's they cannot rely on abstract thing's like thought's know your mind can be logical you have to force it to it's not instrinsic while reality applies the law intrinsically
