Short overview of the movie with spoilers; there are several plot details that I left out but I didn't want to make the post too long.
A British family (Mom, four kids) moves to rural Maine to escape from their psychotic serial killer Dad in 1968
The oldest of the kids is Jack, in his late teens, high inhib, and Chad tier; he catches the attention of Allie, the local librarian (played by Anya Taylor Joy).
Allie at the same time is being simped and chased by trad beta attorney Tom; Tom is slightly annoying and low inhib but well-meaning and TBH appears to have good intentions with Allie, and being an attorney already well established in his career, Tom would be a more than suitable husband for Allie, but she pines for Jack.
Cutting to the chase, the psycho Dad shows up, kills the three youngest (we don't find this out until the end). Throughout the movie, Jack is leading Allie to believe his younger siblings are still alive, but he developed multiple personality disorder.
In the end, Jack is (supposedly) getting treatment for his multiple personality disorder, Allie becomes his caretaker and lives in the old creepy dilapidated house; she lies to the doctor and doesn't give him his crazy pills, so he can continue imagining that his siblings are still alive.
Foids would not mind living in a creepy isolated farmhouse with a mentally unstable man as long as he's tall and 8 plus in looks - but as blackpillers, this shouldn't surprise us.
