Males are already low value, but to be low value males is to be at the bottom of the hierarchy.

In egg production male chickens are killed by the million every day because they don't lay eggs and they aren't worth resources to grow for meat.



This is what society would do to us if they could get away with it. But they still can't, and we have some uses as workers and consumers.
So they do the next best/worst thing - they make sure we can never be happy.
