Looking for the name of an OLD arcade game. I have very little info. Was about fighting street punks.

I remember in the late 80s playing it daily in the arcades, had a top down angled view(think the original double dragon), you chose one of three fighters. One of them was a big tough daddy type(guess the punks kidnapped his daughter?). Went from fighting on city streets to fighting on a subway car.

The main thing I remember was one of the MAIN punks you face besides mohawk punks were greasers, they wore sunglasses, and black leather jackets. BUT the absurd thing is theyd ALWAYS be COMBING their blonde hair, even during the fights! WAS funny as fuck to play! IF anyone knows the name of this old game let me know? I know it was in arcades, no idea if it ever made it to consoles!

yeah i was just kidding.

BTW this is what detective GPT have to say :

Based on your description, the arcade game you're recalling is likely Crime Fighters (1989), developed by Konami. This side-scrolling beat 'em up featured a top-down perspective similar to Double Dragon and allowed players to choose from three characters: a strongman, a martial artist, and a police officer. The storyline involved rescuing a kidnapped girl from a gang of street punks.

One of the standout features of Crime Fighters was its depiction of greaser-type enemies—gang members wearing sunglasses and black leather jackets. Notably, these characters were often seen combing their hair during combat, adding a humorous touch to the game's atmosphere.

The game progressed through various urban settings, including city streets and a subway car, aligning with your memories. Crime Fighters was a staple in arcades during the late 1980s and was later followed by a sequel, Crime Fighters 2: Vendetta, in 1991. Wikipedia

If this doesn't match your recollection, another possibility is Guardians of the 'Hood (1992), also a beat 'em up by Atari Games. It featured digitized sprites and allowed up to three players to choose from characters like Conner, Chief, Javier, and Tanya. The game included levels set in slums, subways, Chinatown, and an amusement park, with players battling various gangs. Wikipedia

Let me know if you'd like more information or assistance in identifying the game further!

The game is probably Final Fight btw. It released in 1989 and had 3 playable characters. The "big daddy" type character is most likely Haggar. It also had a subway stage
